The body of the unnamed embassy attaché was found Tuesday at Kyiv’s Hilton Hotel, online newspaper Strana UA reported Wednesday, citing law enforcement sources.

Finland to Start Offering Bird Flu Vaccinations to Some Workers

Finland plans to offer preemptive bird flu vaccination as soon as next week to some workers with exposure to animals, health authorities said on Tuesday, making it the first country in the world to do so.
The Nordic country has bought vaccines for 10,000 people, each consisting of two injections, as part of a joint EU procurement of up to 40 million doses for 15 nations from manufacturer CSL Seqirus.
The Australian company in a statement to Reuters said Finland would be the first country to roll out the vaccine.
“The vaccine will be offered to those aged 18 or over who are at increased risk of contracting avian influenza due to their work or other circumstances,” the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) said in a statement.

In order to achieve this, Northrop’s demonstration vehicle features “energy-saving technologies,” the exact nature of which remain murky, allowing it to anchor on the seafloor and hibernate in a low-power state, Northrop claims.
However, along with Seatrec, a renewable-energy company, Northrop has also designed energy-harvesting technology ostensibly capable of powering Manta Ray over near-unlimited distances and durations.

We are finally getting a clear idea of just how big Northrop Grumman’s Manta Ray submersible drone is, with satellite images showing it in port looking like something that just landed on Tatooine. Manta Ray is being developed under a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) program that is focused on demonstrating a new category of very-long-endurance uncrewed naval platform that could be configured to perform a host of different missions. You can read more about what is known about the design, which had already been shown to be much larger than was originally understood, in our past reporting here.
Satellite images taken in November 2023 and April of this year that are now available through Google Earth show the Manta Ray docked at the Port Hueneme naval base in California. Port Hueneme, which is part of the U.S. Navy’s larger Naval Base Ventura County, is home to the Naval Surface Warfare Center-Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) and is a major research and development and test and evaluation hub.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is due to plead guilty this week to violating U.S. espionage law, in a deal that will end his imprisonment in Britain and allow him to return home to Australia, ending a 14-year legal odyssey.
Assange, 52, has agreed to plead guilty to a single criminal count of conspiring to obtain and disclose classified U.S. national defense documents, according to filings in the U.S. District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands.
He is due to be sentenced to 62 months of time already served at a hearing on the island of Saipan at 9 a.m. local time on Wednesday (2300 GMT Tuesday).
2025 NDAA, “Would Require Young Women to Register with the Selective Service”

The NDAA would require young women to register with the selective service, requiring them to be drafted for combat in the name of “equality,” once again confusing the term with “sameness.”

The academic enterprise will look at the “political nature of this everyday substance”.
Professors will be funded to look at a museum collection and unearth the “colonial legacies” of dairy.
One of the experts involved in the project has argued that milk is Northern European and a “white supremacist” imposition on other cultures.
Kremlin Spokesman Claims Russia Will Retaliate Against U.S. After Ukrainian Attack Killed Civilians in Occupied Crimea

The Kremlin has accused the U.S. of ‘killing Russian children’ after a Ukrainian attack on occupied Crimea with long-range missiles supplied by Washington and said there will be unnamed ‘consequences.’
Moscow has summoned the U.S. ambassador to issue a formal warning, while Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov issued a public statement slamming the U.S. for ‘barbaric’ strike on Sevastopol, the strategic port city on the Black Sea.
‘The involvement of the United States, the direct involvement, as a result of which Russian civilians are killed, cannot be without consequences,’ said Peskov. ‘Time will tell what these will be.’

Welfare Offices Providing Voter Registration Forms To Illegals Without Proof Of Citizenship

Illegal migrants are being provided with voter registration forms without requiring proof of citizenship, the NY Post reports.
The forms, available in every state except Arizona – which recently passed a law barring the practice on state (but not federal) forms, are used to obtain welfare benefits, driver’s licenses, and in many cases mail-in ballot voter registration forms.
There is currently no federal law requiring proof of citizenship on voter forms, though it is illegal to lie and claim citizenship in order to cast a ballot in a federal election.
So if an applicant says they are a US citizen, that’s enough to be able to register to vote.
