AI Sermons
October 3rd, 2023Via: Metro:
On September 17, 2023, the Violet Crown City Church, a Methodist church in North Austin, US, transformed the tradition of Sunday service into the new age with Artificial Intelligence.
Pastor Jay Cooper, of Violet Crown City Church, decided to debut an AI-generated worship service for his congregation.
Jay came across this idea of using AI to worship God through using Chat GPT himself for personal use such as writing humorous country music lyrics for fun, and thought it would be a great way to move his congregation into the 21st-century by introducing them to AI in a way that still lets them worship God.
England Banning Mobile Phones in Schools
October 2nd, 2023Via: Daily Mail:
Mobiles are to be banned from classrooms, the Education Secretary will announce on Monday.
Gillian Keegan will order schools to outlaw smartphones during lessons, and also in breaks, in a bid to end disruption and make it easier for pupils to focus.
A government source said new guidance would be issued to schools across England requiring them to take action.
‘Gillian believes that mobile phones pose a serious challenge in terms of distraction, disruptive behaviour, and bullying,’ the insider said. ‘It is one of the biggest issues that children and teachers have to grapple with so she will set out a way forward to empower teachers to ban mobiles from classrooms.’
Some schools already ban the use of mobiles, with pupils required to hand in their phones each morning – or face the punishment of a detention if they are caught using them.
But many others still permit their use, particularly during breaks, despite growing evidence of the damage they cause.
Hungarian and U.S. Scientists Win Nobel Prize for COVID-19 Vaccine Discoveries
October 2nd, 2023I think it was about a year ago, someone said this was going to happen. Who was it? Malone?
Via: Reuters:
Hungarian scientist Katalin Kariko and U.S. colleague Drew Weissman, who met in line for a photocopier before making mRNA molecule discoveries together that paved the way for COVID-19 vaccines, won the 2023 Nobel Prize for Medicine on Monday.
“The laureates contributed to the unprecedented rate of vaccine development during one of the greatest threats to human health in modern times,” the Swedish award-giving body said in the latest accolade for the pair.
The prize, among the most prestigious in the scientific world, was selected by the Nobel Assembly of Sweden’s Karolinska Institute medical university and comes with 11 million Swedish crowns (about $1 million) to share between them.
Kariko was senior vice president and head of RNA protein replacement at BioNTech until 2022 and has since acted as an adviser to the company. She is also a professor at the University of Szeged in Hungary and adjunct professor at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine.
Weissman is professor in vaccine research at the Perelman School.

Mortality Watch
September 30th, 2023Via: Mortality Watch:
Mortality Watch aggregates mortality data from multiple sources to generate daily updated mortality charts. Select from many jurisdictions and different chart types. The underlying dataset is now the largest and most detailed on the web. Data and calculations (R language) are open source available on GitHub. Crude mortality rate (CMR) is deaths per one hundred-thousand residents. Age Standardized Mortality Rate (ASMR) is calculated using the WHO2015, ESP2013, US2000 Standard Population and each jurisdictions 2020 age table. Caution: Excess Deaths are based on the baseline model, which may or may not reflect reality. For each country and type, pre-pandemic data is back tested to choose the baseline length with the lowest root mean squared error (RMSE) for a five to fifteen-year period for a three-year forecast.
Drinking Diet Sodas and Aspartame-Sweetened Beverages Daily During Pregnancy Linked to Autism in Male Offspring
September 30th, 2023Via: University of Texas, San Antonio:
A new published study led by researchers at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UT Health San Antonio) has found an association between autism diagnosis in boys and daily consumption of either diet soda or a comparable amount of aspartame by their mothers during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
In this case-control study, boys who had been diagnosed with autism were more than three times as likely as neurotypically developing boys to have been born to mothers who reported consuming one or more servings per day of diet soda, or comparable amounts of the leading artificial sweetener aspartame, during pregnancy or breastfeeding. No statistically significant association was found in female offspring.
“These associations do not prove causality, but taken in concert with reports from earlier studies of increased prematurity and cardiometabolic health impacts among infants and children exposed daily to diet beverages and/or aspartame during pregnancy, our findings raise new questions about potential neurological impacts that need to be addressed,” said Raymond F. Palmer, PhD, senior author of the paper, and professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at UT Health San Antonio.

According to Mediaite, which broke the story late this afternoon, a “campaign insider” revealed that Kennedy will make the announcement on Oct. 9 in Philadelphia, because he “feels that the DNC [Democratic National Committee] is changing the rules to exclude his candidacy so an independent run is the only way to go.”
Putin to Stage First Nationwide Exercise Simulating Nuclear Attack from the West
September 29th, 2023In other news: Massive Emergency Alert Test Will Sound Alarms on U.S. Cellphones, TVs and Radios on October 4:
This is a test. This is only a test. But it’s going to be one very big test.
On Wednesday, October 4 at 2:20 p.m. ET, every TV, radio and cellphone in the United States should blare out the distinctive, jarring electronic warning tone of an emergency alert, accompanied by a notice along these lines:
“This is a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System, issued by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, covering the United States from 14:20 to 14:50 hours ET. This is only a test. No action is required by the public.”
Hmm…
Via: Metro:
It is scheduled to take place on October 3 and will see Vladimir Putin’s regime present the West as a nuclear aggressor.
The one-day nuclear attack exercise, which has only ever been done region by region, will include preparation for the destruction of up to 70% of Russian housing stock and life support facilities.
It will assume the scenario that martial law has been introduced in Russia and that is has gone through full mobilisation.
The scenario for the test reads: ‘In some constituent entities [regions] of the Russian Federation, as a result of emergencies or other types of physical impact, complete destruction of life support facilities and up to 70% of the housing stock is possible’.
