Do You Need a New Iron?

May 19th, 2023

My wife’s taste in dresses, skirts and aprons goes back about 150 years. Rather than attempting to buy clothing like that, she makes it herself using her mother’s (borrowed) Bernina sewing machine from 1982 and an iron.

The iron she’d been using for the last fifteen years blew up. I tried to fix it, but the element was done.

She didn’t want anything fancy, but everything available locally was land-fill grade nonsense.

I went looking for something better and I learned more about irons than you want to know. During that process, I came across this one: Panasonic NI-WL600 Cordless Iron.

Cordless? Yes.

After an initial heat-up period of about a minute, one simply picks up the iron and uses it without any cords getting in the way. After setting the iron back in the cradle, it automatically reheats and is ready to use again in a few seconds.

I’d watched her ironing her sewing material with the normal iron and noticed how she had to constantly deal with the cord getting in the way. I suggested this Panasonic cordless iron and she was skeptical at first, but decided to try it.

She absolutely loves it and uses it every time she sews. The cordless aspect of it is the best benefit, but she also likes that it is very lightweight. The pointed tips on both ends of the soleplate offer more precision than an iron with a triangular soleplate.

We don’t do any normal ironing, so she only uses this for sewing. I asked how she thought it would be for someone wanting to iron their pants, shirts, etc. She thinks it would easily stay hot enough for normal ironing tasks between re-heats in the cradle.

Note: The Panasonic NI-L70SR Cordless Iron is triangle-shaped, if you prefer that.

Biden Clears Way for Ukraine to Get F-16 Fighter Jets

May 19th, 2023

Via: The Messenger:

The U.S. will support an international effort to train Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighter jets, a senior administration official confirmed to The Messenger, a shift in policy that will clear the way for F-16s and other aircraft to be sent to Ukraine. President Joe Biden announced the change to other world leaders at Friday’s G-7 summit in Japan, Politico reported.

The official told The Messenger that Biden’s announcement does not mean the U.S. will send its own F-16s to Ukraine. But several European countries have F-16s in their arsenals, and the shift in policy effectively creates a roadmap for the delivery of F-16s and other fighter jets from those European nations to Ukraine. The decision also comes several days after leaders of the United Kingdom and the Netherlands announced plans to set up an international coalition to help Ukraine obtain the jets.

The training will reportedly take place at a European site outside Ukraine and begin within weeks.

Actual Headline: “$3 Billion Accounting Error Means the Pentagon Can Send More Weapons to Ukraine”

May 19th, 2023

Via: AP:

The Pentagon has overestimated the value of the weapons it has sent to Ukraine by at least $3 billion — an accounting error that could be a boon for the war effort because it will allow the Defense Department to send more weapons now without asking Congress for more money.

The acknowledgment Thursday comes at a time when Pentagon is under increased pressure by Congress to show accountability for the billions of dollars it has sent in weapons, ammunition and equipment to Ukraine and as some lawmakers question whether that level of support should continue.

CIA Contractor, Dr. Garry Nolan, Claims U.S. Government Has, “Downed” UFOs, Reverse Engineering Programs

May 19th, 2023

This might be the biggest limited hangout of all time.

Nolan states, “What’s crashing is not actual living things… Mostly, what you’re seeing here are either drones or some sort of advanced AI.”

So, for everyone keeping score, according to Nolan, the U.S. Government is in possession of, “Downed” UFOs, but don’t worry about the aliens.

“It’s not that they walk amongst us.”

That’s a fascinating choice of words. It brings to mind, Walking Among Us: The Alien Plan to Control Humanity by David M. Jacobs PhD.

And James Fox:

Good thing it’s just the UFOs and not… that other thing.

Wow, thanks, Garry. Very reassuring. Especially coming from a long time CIA contractor.

Leaked Pentagon Report Forensically Dismantles Fauci-Led Natural Origin Study

May 17th, 2023

Via: ZeroHedge – Epoch Times:

Researchers at the Department of Defense wrote a devastating takedown of the Proximal Origin study, which was used by Dr. Anthony Fauci as proof that the COVID-19 virus had come from nature.

The takedown, dated May 26, 2020, was written in the form of a working paper called “Critical analysis of Andersen et al. The proximal origin of SARS-CoV-2.” It was authored by Commander Jean-Paul Chretien, a Navy doctor working at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, and Dr. Robert Cutlip, a research scientist at the Defense Intelligence Agency. The paper came to light on May 15, when it was leaked to the public via virus origins search group DRASTIC (Decentralized Radical Autonomous Search Team Investigating COVID-19).

The working paper forensically dismantles the natural origin case made in Proximal Origin and concludes, “The arguments that Andersen et al. use to support a natural-origin scenario for SARS-CoV-2 are based not on scientific analysis, but on unwarranted assumptions.”

The existence of this internal Pentagon paper is crucial, as it proves that government officials were well aware in the early months of the pandemic that there was no evidence in support of a natural origin of the COVID-19 virus. Additionally, given the crushing discrediting of Proximal Origin, Pentagon officials would also have been aware of Fauci’s efforts to seed a false narrative about the origin of COVID-19.

Proximal Origin was initially conceived by Fauci during a secret teleconference held on Feb. 1, 2020. The ostensible purpose of the teleconference was to deflect attention from a possible lab origin of COVID-19 and to shift the focus to a natural origin theory. Fauci directed a number of scientists, led by Kristian Andersen of Scripps Research and Robert Garry of Tulane Medical School, to pen a study that could be used to discredit the lab leak theory. Despite being directly involved in the inception of the paper, as well as in shaping its arguments, Fauci’s role was concealed from the public. Fauci later bestowed Andersen and Garry with lavish taxpayer-funded grants.

Deutsche Bank Settles Epstein Lawsuit For Up To $75 Million

May 17th, 2023

Via: ZeroHedge:

Deutsche Bank has agreed to pay up to $75 million to settle a lawsuit brought by an Jeffrey Epstein victim who claimed that the bank had benefited from human trafficking by retaining Epstein as a client, the Financial Times reports.

The lawsuit is one of three ongoing cases involving lenders to Epstein – the two others being a combined case against JPMorgan Chase, which is being sued by a different alleged victim and the US Virgin Islands, where Epstein owned property.

The Deutsche Bank lawsuit was filed as a proposed class action in November, based on a New York law which temporarily allowed abuse claims to be brought beyond the statute of limitations.

Judge Jed Rakoff stated in his order denying in part Deutsche’s attempt to dismiss the case, said Epstein “solicited Deutsche Bank’s advice about how to structure his withdrawals so as to evade notice . . . and he was shielded by Deutsche Bank’s failure to file suspicious activity reports.”

Rakoff added that it was “plausible” that the bank had directly benefited from human trafficking in his order to allow the case to proceed to trial.
