It was first revealed in Politico newsletter on Tuesday that Jamal Brown is “joining TikTok to manage policy communications for the Americas, primarily focusing on the United States.”

TikTok has not appeared to put out an official statement regarding the hiring decision, but Brown’s Twitter bio has already been updated to show his employment for the Chinese-owned social media app.

From February 2021 until February 2022, Brown served as the deputy Pentagon press secretary at the U.S. Department of Defense. He previously worked as one of three national press secretaries for Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign.

At Least $1 Billion of Customer Funds Missing from Collapsed Crypto Exchange FTX, CEO 2nd Biggest Donor to Democrats

November 13th, 2022

CEO of cratering crypto firm FTX is Dems’ second largest donor, behind Soros:

Sam Bankman-Fried, the CEO of crypto exchange company FTX, and the second biggest donor to the Democrat party, is in hot water as his company is in financial freefall with over $1 billion missing.

According to Fortune, “30-year-old Bankman-Fried has been a major force in Democratic politics, ranking as the party’s second-biggest individual donor in the 2021–2022 election cycle.”

Also, Sam Bankman-Fried Bought Into Stakeholder Capitalism And Proved It’s A Disastrous Ideology:

What many in the mainstream are missing, though, is Fried’s attachments to the World Economic Foundation, various global elitists and his avid sermonizing of the tenets of “effective altruism”, which are nearly identical to the tenets of Klaus Schwab’s Stakeholder Capitalism agenda.

At least $1 billion of customer funds have vanished from collapsed crypto exchange FTX, according to two people familiar with the matter.

The exchange’s founder Sam Bankman-Fried secretly transferred $10 billion of customer funds from FTX to Bankman-Fried’s trading company Alameda Research, the people told Reuters.

A large portion of that total has since disappeared, they said. One source put the missing amount at about $1.7 billion. The other said the gap was between $1 billion and $2 billion.

Via: Liberation Times:

The U.S Department of Defense (DoD) has confirmed to Liberation Times that the United States Air Force (USAF) did not extend its Unidentified Aerospace-undersea Phenomena (UAP) pilot program.

Furthermore, the DoD has refused to directly address allegations that USAF personnel were warned against participating with the UAP Task Force (UAPTF), and in another instance interrogated by the Department of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI) for participating in a classified DoD chat room devoted to UAP issues.

Liberation Times has also learned new information about attempts by the USAF to crack down on officers attempting to cooperate with the UAPTF, and that the air force was actually willing to participate on the topic before executing a “180-degree turn.”

FBI Should Have 14 Days, Not 66 Years, to Produce Seth Rich Information

November 12th, 2022

Via: Epoch Times:

The FBI should only have 14 days, not 66 years, to produce information from Seth Rich’s laptop computer, a lawyer argued in a new court filing.

After a U.S. judge ordered the FBI to produce the information, the bureau said that it should not be required to hand it over because of exemptions to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). And if the bureau still had to produce the information, government lawyers said it should have 66 years because it needs to review the information and redact certain information.

Pfizer Chief: Covid Will Continue to be a ‘Multi-Billion Dollar Franchise for Many Years to Come’

November 11th, 2022

Via: Daily Mail:

Pfizer’s chief financial officer has described the Covid pandemic as a ‘multi-billion dollar franchise’ — and expects profit to continue.

David Denton told investors in an earnings call last week his company’s vaccine and antiviral would still be ‘relevant for many years to come’.

The CFO said he expects the Covid virus to be ‘somewhat like a flu… but more deadly’ — meaning therapeutics will still have a massive role in controlling the virus.

So far Pfizer has reaped about $80 billion in yearly revenue from sales of Covid vaccines and the antiviral drug Paxlovid.

The company announced last month it will triple the price of its shot to up to $130 per dose next year — a far cry from the roughly $19 to $30 per dose that the government paid.

Some experts estimate each individual shot to cost just $1.18 to make — meaning the new price represents a 10,000 per cent markup.

Meta Cuts More than 11,000 Jobs

November 9th, 2022

Via: Al Jazeera:

Meta Platforms Inc said on Wednesday it will let go of 13 percent of its workforce, or more than 11,000 employees, in one of the biggest technology layoffs this year as the Facebook parent battles soaring costs and a weak advertising market.

The broad job cuts, the first in Meta’s 18-year history, follow thousands of layoffs at other leading tech companies including Elon Musk-owned Twitter and Microsoft Corp.

The pandemic boom that boosted tech companies and their valuations has turned into a bust this year in the face of decades-high inflation and rapidly rising interest rates.
