A Silicon Valley startup backed by OpenAI’s Sam Altman and Coinbase’s Brian Armstrong is pursuing research that some fear could lead to the birth of a genetically engineered baby — a step that’s illegal under US law and banned in most countries, a report said.
The company, Preventive, says its goal is to end hereditary disease by editing human embryos before birth, a claim that has ignited fierce debate over safety, ethics and the specter of designer children, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Preventive, founded earlier this year by gene-editing scientist Lucas Harrington, has raised $30 million and set up headquarters in San Francisco, where it is conducting research on modifying embryos to prevent hereditary disease.

President Donald Trump on Sunday announced that most Americans would receive a dividend payment of “at least” $2,000 – paid out of US tariff revenues.
“A dividend of at least $2000 a person (not including high income people!) will be paid to everyone,” Trump posted on Truth Social, adding that tariffs have brought in “trillions of dollars,” and that 401(k) accounts are the “Highest EVER.” He also claimed that the tariffs had caused “No inflation.”
“People that are against Tariffs are FOOLS!” he continued.

YouTube Removes Windows 11 Microsoft Account Bypass Tutorials, Claims ‘Risk of Physical Harm’

Two weeks ago, Rich had posted a video on installing Windows 11 25H2 with a local account. YouTube removed it, saying that it was “encouraging dangerous or illegal activities that risk serious physical harm or death.”
Days later, Rich posted another video showing how to bypass Windows 11’s hardware requirements to install the OS on unsupported systems. YouTube took that down too.
Both videos received community guidelines strikes. Rich appealed both immediately. The first appeal was denied in 45 minutes. The second in just five.

Researchers analyzed data from the Akkreditierte Labore in der Medizin (ALM) — a nationwide consortium of authority-accredited medical laboratories that performed roughly 90% of all SARS-CoV-2 PCR tests in Germany between 2020 and 2023.
When researchers compared the ALM’s week-by-week PCR positivity rates with the same labs’ IgG antibody testing data — essentially measuring who truly developed infection-induced immunity — they discovered something staggering:
Only about 14% of those who tested PCR-positive during the early pandemic period (2020–mid-2021) actually developed antibodies — meaning most early “cases” were never real infections.

3 More Chinese Researchers Charged With Smuggling Biological Materials Into U.S.

Three additional Chinese researchers at the University of Michigan have been charged as part of an ongoing investigation into the smuggling of biological materials from China to the United States, the U.S. Department of Justice announced on Nov. 5.
Bai Xu, 28, Zhang Fengfan, 27, and Zhang Zhiyong, 30, were charged in a criminal complaint filed on Nov. 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Bai and Zhang Fengfan were charged with conspiracy to smuggle biological materials into the United States, while Zhang Zhiyong was charged with making false statements to federal agents.
The three defendants were arrested at the John F. Kennedy International Airport on Oct. 16 and taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement before they could board a flight to China.

The study titled “COVID-19 mRNA Vaccination: Implications for the Central Nervous System,” authored by Kirstin Cosgrove, BM, CCRA; James A. Thorp, MD; Claire Rogers, MSPAS, PA-C; Steven Hatfill, MD; Nicolas Hulscher, MPH; and Peter A. McCullough, MD, MPH, was just published after successful peer-review in the International Journal of Research in Medical Sciences.
Using VAERS data from January 1990 through November 2024, we compared adverse events reported after COVID-19 vaccination to those after influenza vaccination and all other vaccines combined. We focused specifically on the central nervous system (CNS) — the brain and spinal cord, which control everything from memory and thought to movement and vital body functions. In total, we identified 63 serious safety signals involving the brain and nervous system, ranging from meningitis and encephalitis to brain abscesses, herpesvirus reactivations, demyelinating syndromes, and even prion diseases — each breaching CDC/FDA thresholds that are supposed to trigger immediate safety investigations.
The mechanism is clear: lipid nanoparticles deliver mRNA into brain blood vessels, where spike protein is produced and drives vascular inflammation. This damages the blood–brain barrier (BBB), the brain’s protective shield, and allows pathogens and latent viruses to penetrate, bacteria to seed abscesses, and immune responses to misfire against neural tissue. Spike protein itself can also cross into the brain, where it disrupts neurons and glial cells and promotes abnormal protein misfolding — a prion-like process resembling Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease and “mad cow disease.” Together, these effects explain why COVID-19 vaccination is associated with such a broad spectrum of severe neurological injuries.
