No. I don’t think society realizes it’s being initiated. But that was likely a rhetorical question.
At Pookie et al, I watched 25 (which is relevant to at least one of my points), and I generally agree with the complaint, so to write; the overload and inundation of occult symbolism. But I think the young authors overlook the stereotypes that they are commenting on. Lucifer bad, god is good. The further you take back any ancient history, the gods become the heavenly bodies of the cosmos. Which is as vital to understand as it is fascinating,
Netflix programming has its negative influence, expected. But the stories (synthetic memories) are important to the degree that others are initiated, inundated or affected. I personally hate the time comment an enthralling soap opera can absorb (e.g Breaking Bad). The time sink is immense when you have books to work through.
