Considering the Purchase of a Rolex Daytona from Anywhere Other Than a Rolex Authorized Dealer?
September 20th, 2023Bring your own watchmaker along and make sure that the non-authorized Rolex dealer is willing to take the back off.
People aren’t buying these fakes to wear. You don’t need a (nearly) completely reverse engineered Rolex movement to fool someone into thinking you’re wearing a real one. These are definitely meant to be used for fraud in the grey market.
Note: Probably a third of the time I waste on YouTube is related to horology, something I’ve been interested in since I was a child. Even though I’ve never physically handled Rolex Cosmograph Daytona, I was able to pick the fake in every side by side in the video before the reveal.

Jacinda Ardern may no longer be Prime Minister of New Zealand, but she was back at the United Nations continuing her call for international censorship. Ardern is now one of the leading anti-free speech figures in the world and continues to draw support from political and academic establishments. In her latest attack on free speech, Ardean declared free speech as a virtual weapon of war. She is demanding that the world join her in battling free speech as part of its own war against “misinformation” and “disinformation.” Her views, of course, were not only enthusiastically embraced by authoritarian countries, but the government and academic elite.
In her speech, she notes that we cannot allow free speech to get in the way of fighting things like climate change. She notes that they cannot win the war on climate change if people do not believe them about the underlying problem. The solution is to silence those with opposing views. It is that simple.
FAA Authorizes Zipline to Make Drone Deliveries Beyond Operator’s Line of Sight
September 20th, 2023Via: Zipline:
Today the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) authorized Zipline to make commercial deliveries beyond visual line of sight without visual observers – a milestone the entire industry has worked to achieve for years. For more than a decade, even the most advanced long-range drone deliveries in the U.S. required visual observers, stationed on the ground along a route, to watch the sky during the delivery. This historic decision will help enable broad integration of autonomous aircraft into the U.S. national airspace and make commercial drone delivery scalable and affordable.
Canada Sentences Pastor to Prison for Speech in Which He Called Freedom Convoy Truckers ‘Heroes’
September 20th, 2023Via: Breitbart:
A court in Alberta, Canada, sentenced Pastor Artur Pawlowski on Monday to 60 days in prison for a speech to Freedom Convoy truckers in February 2022 in which he supported their protests against repressive lockdown, vaccine, and other mandates related to the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic.
Pawlowski, who first rose to prominence for expelling Canadian police from his church for trying to shut down an Easter service in 2021, faced multiple charges, including “mischief,” a crime in Canada, and violating the Critical Infrastructure Defense Act (CIDA). The latter charge suggested that Pawlowski’s speaking to protesters on the Alberta-Montana border was an attack on the province’s road infrastructure, as he encouraged them to continue an ongoing blockade demanding the lifting of coronavirus-related mandates. Prosecutors were demanding up to ten months in prison for the pastor on the grounds that he has publicly and repeatedly denied having any remorse for his vocal opposition to lockdowns.
“I’m not ashamed of what I did. If I had a chance to do it again, I would do it again, gladly,” Pawlowski told a crowd of supporters after his conviction on Monday.

U.S. Asks for Help Finding Missing F-35 After Pilot Ejected and the Jet Fighter Kept Flying on Autopilot
September 18th, 2023Update: Missing F-35 Found Crashed in Field 80 Miles from Base Following 28-Hour Search

Via: CNBC:
A U.S. fighter jet’s stealth abilities appear to be working too well, with authorities forced to ask the public for help finding an F-35 that went missing somewhere over South Carolina when the pilot ejected due to a “mishap.”
Joint Base Charleston, an air base in North Charleston, said it was working with Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort to “locate an F-35 that was involved in a mishap” on Sunday afternoon.
The pilot was able to safely eject from the aircraft, an F-35B Lightning II jet, and was taken to a local medical center in stable condition, the air base said in a Facebook post at around 5:35 p.m. ET.
The jet was left in autopilot mode when the pilot ejected from the aircraft, so there’s a possibility it could still be airborne, Jeremy Huggins, a spokesman at Joint Base Charleston, told NBC News over the phone.

EU May Become as Hooked on China Batteries as it Was on Russian Energy
September 17th, 2023Batteries aren’t an energy source, by the way.
Via: Reuters:
The European Union could become as dependent on China for lithium-ion batteries and fuel cells by 2030 as it was on Russia for energy before the war in Ukraine unless it takes strong measures, a paper prepared for EU leaders said.
