On Tuesday, the WHO issued an alert that there had been a rise in “severe myocarditis” in newborns and infants between June 2022 and March 2023 in Wales and England.
Cryptogon Syndication to Twitter Disabled
May 20th, 2023For about a decade, I’ve been able to automatically post Cryptogon stories to Twitter using a plugin called WP to Twitter.
That ended about a hour ago.
After trying to troubleshoot, recreating my Twitter apps and API keys, etc. I’m getting this error:
403 Forbidden: The request is understood, but has been refused by Twitter. (Error Code: 453: You currently have access to Twitter API v2 endpoints and limited v1.1 endpoints only. If you need access to this endpoint, you may need a different access level. You can learn more here: https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/twitter-api/getting-started/about-twitter-api#v2-access-leve)
My best guess is that they want US$100 per month for API access now, which is crazy. My usage is well within the free tier, but it just doesn’t work.
I found a post from the WP to Twitter developer on what has happened:
The latest news, as of mid April 2023:
Recently, Twitter has started suspending many people’s apps who are using WP to Twitter. This is not something I can do anything about. They’re using the same logic to shut it down that they used to shut down all of the major Twitter apps.
You can always create another new app and reconnect it to WP to Twitter, but you should assume that at some point they will shut down the new one as well.
Given this, I do not have any intention to ship any further updates to WP to Twitter. I have disabled sales on WP Tweets Pro, and will probably be shutting down WP to Twitter in the WordPress plugin repository soon.
I have no faith in Twitter having consistent policies or clear documentation that I could use to create a product that gives anything approximating a good user experience.

30-Ton Shipment Of Explosive Chemical Disappears Between California And Wyoming
May 19th, 2023Fell out the bottom of the rail car?
Via: ZeroHedge:
A 30-ton shipment of ammonium nitrate, a chemical used as both fertilizer and as a component in explosives, has gone missing during a rail shipment between Wyoming and California last month, resulting in four separate investigations.
…
“The railcar was sealed when it left the Cheyenne facility, and the seals were still intact when it arrived in Saltdale. The initial assessment is that a leak through the bottom gate on the railcar may have developed in transit,” said the company, adding that the two-week trip included multiple stops. They report having had “limited control” over the railcar operated by Union Pacific.
The railcar is being transported back to Wyoming for inspection.
Meanwhile, a representative for the Federal Railroad Administration says the investigation points to an improperly closed hopper car gate.
Do You Need a New Iron?
May 19th, 2023My wife’s taste in dresses, skirts and aprons goes back about 150 years. Rather than attempting to buy clothing like that, she makes it herself using her mother’s (borrowed) Bernina sewing machine from 1982 and an iron.
The iron she’d been using for the last fifteen years blew up. I tried to fix it, but the element was done.
She didn’t want anything fancy, but everything available locally was land-fill grade nonsense.
I went looking for something better and I learned more about irons than you want to know. During that process, I came across this one: Panasonic NI-WL600 Cordless Iron.

Cordless? Yes.
After an initial heat-up period of about a minute, one simply picks up the iron and uses it without any cords getting in the way. After setting the iron back in the cradle, it automatically reheats and is ready to use again in a few seconds.
I’d watched her ironing her sewing material with the normal iron and noticed how she had to constantly deal with the cord getting in the way. I suggested this Panasonic cordless iron and she was skeptical at first, but decided to try it.
She absolutely loves it and uses it every time she sews. The cordless aspect of it is the best benefit, but she also likes that it is very lightweight. The pointed tips on both ends of the soleplate offer more precision than an iron with a triangular soleplate.
We don’t do any normal ironing, so she only uses this for sewing. I asked how she thought it would be for someone wanting to iron their pants, shirts, etc. She thinks it would easily stay hot enough for normal ironing tasks between re-heats in the cradle.
Note: The Panasonic NI-L70SR Cordless Iron is triangle-shaped, if you prefer that.

Biden Clears Way for Ukraine to Get F-16 Fighter Jets
May 19th, 2023Via: The Messenger:
The U.S. will support an international effort to train Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighter jets, a senior administration official confirmed to The Messenger, a shift in policy that will clear the way for F-16s and other aircraft to be sent to Ukraine. President Joe Biden announced the change to other world leaders at Friday’s G-7 summit in Japan, Politico reported.
The official told The Messenger that Biden’s announcement does not mean the U.S. will send its own F-16s to Ukraine. But several European countries have F-16s in their arsenals, and the shift in policy effectively creates a roadmap for the delivery of F-16s and other fighter jets from those European nations to Ukraine. The decision also comes several days after leaders of the United Kingdom and the Netherlands announced plans to set up an international coalition to help Ukraine obtain the jets.
The training will reportedly take place at a European site outside Ukraine and begin within weeks.
Actual Headline: “$3 Billion Accounting Error Means the Pentagon Can Send More Weapons to Ukraine”
May 19th, 2023Via: AP:
The Pentagon has overestimated the value of the weapons it has sent to Ukraine by at least $3 billion — an accounting error that could be a boon for the war effort because it will allow the Defense Department to send more weapons now without asking Congress for more money.
The acknowledgment Thursday comes at a time when Pentagon is under increased pressure by Congress to show accountability for the billions of dollars it has sent in weapons, ammunition and equipment to Ukraine and as some lawmakers question whether that level of support should continue.

CIA Contractor, Dr. Garry Nolan, Claims U.S. Government Has, “Downed” UFOs, Reverse Engineering Programs
May 19th, 2023This might be the biggest limited hangout of all time.
Nolan states, “What’s crashing is not actual living things… Mostly, what you’re seeing here are either drones or some sort of advanced AI.”
So, for everyone keeping score, according to Nolan, the U.S. Government is in possession of, “Downed” UFOs, but don’t worry about the aliens.
“It’s not that they walk amongst us.”
That’s a fascinating choice of words. It brings to mind, Walking Among Us: The Alien Plan to Control Humanity by David M. Jacobs PhD.
And James Fox:
I’m not saying they’re walking among us but Robert Bigelow did. ????? pic.twitter.com/l9g8f9740U

Good thing it’s just the UFOs and not… that other thing.
Wow, thanks, Garry. Very reassuring. Especially coming from a long time CIA contractor.
