Millions of Americans are still hoping for a second round of stimulus checks to help them cope with the financial fallout of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, the U.S. government is preparing to distribute vaccinations to the American public in order to put an end to the public health crisis.
Now, one proposal aims to help both efforts by giving people $1,500 stimulus checks in exchange for getting immunized.
The idea comes from entrepreneur John Delaney, a former Democratic congressman for Maryland who also ran for president in 2020.
“The faster we get 75 percent of this country vaccinated, the faster we end Covid and the sooner everything returns to normal,” Delaney said in an interview with CNBC.com.

To execute the plan, the government could create a system where people would receive a number once they were vaccinated. Once they enter that along with their Social Security number, they would receive a check.
In the U.S., we already have measures to encourage people to get vaccines, such as requiring them in order for children to attend school.
“It’s not like we don’t pull levers to get people vaccinated,” Delaney said. “We do that now.”

Disturbing election night footage has emerged showing Georgia poll workers waiting for observers and news outlets to leave State Farm Arena in Atlanta after calling an end to counting for the night, before pulling out several large suitcases containing ballots from under a table.
The footage, presented by an attorney working with Republicans during a Thursday state Senate hearing, is perhaps the strongest direct evidence of potential fraud, and demands serious inquiry. In it, a handful of poll workers can clearly be seen staying behind after GOP observers say they were told to clear out. After the media packs up their belongings, the workers can be seen pulling out the suitcases and opening them at approximately 11 p.m.
Of note, earlier in the day, counting was paused for approximately 90 minutes due to what officials blamed on a ‘water main break’ – which turned out to be a lie, and was in fact a ‘slow leak,’ according to news.com.au.

Anti-vax sentiment against the Covid-19 vaccination appears to be growing sharply in France, after a new poll put the number of people opposed to the jab at higher than 50% for the first time.
A new survey by pollster Ifop found that 59% of the French public do “not have the intention to get a vaccination when it becomes possible”.
The online poll asked a nationally-representative sample of the French public for newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche.

Those calls are growing as anti-free speech advocates see an opportunity in the Biden Administration to crackdown on opposing views. One vocal advocate of censorship and speech controls has been CNN media analyst Oliver Darcy who just ratcheted up his call for de-platforming opposing views. Like many anti-free speech advocates, Darcy simply labels those with opposing views as spreading “disinformation” and demands that they be labeled or barred from social media. In a recent newsletter, Darcy calls for every tweet by Trump to be labeled as disinformation while asking “and why stop there?” Precisely. Once you cross the Rubicon of speech regulation, there is little reason or inclination to stop. Just look at Europe.
