In Large Urban Cities, the Number of Children Under 5 Years Old Is in Free Fall

August 5th, 2024

Families, vote with your feet!

Leave the crackpot pink hairs to self immolate in their filthy, collapsing cities.

I like how this Canadian family keeps busy:

They’ll enjoy the show as they relax atop a mountain of ammunition.

Communists know that their power ultimately derives from brainwashing children to serve the state. I’m going to go out on a limb here and guess that those girls running the Dillon Precision reloader aren’t going to eat ze bugs. *chortle*

Parents need to break the cycle of supplying their impressionable children to public school globalist minion factories. For many, that requires a move. If you’re remaining in a place like Los Angeles or New York, with a goal of raising freedom oriented children, I absolutely respect you and wish you the best.

American families with young children are leaving big urban counties in droves. And that says something interesting about the state of mobility—and damning about the state of American cities and the progressives who govern them.

Could AI Robots with Lasers Make Herbicides – and Farm Workers – Obsolete?

August 4th, 2024

Via: Los Angeles Times:

The smell of burnt vegetation wafted through a lettuce field here one recent summer morning as nearly 200 farmers, academics and engineers gathered to witness the future of automated agriculture.

Thirteen hulking machines with names like “Weed Spider” and “Mantis” crawled through rows of romaine. One used artificial intelligence cameras to scan the crops and spray them with herbicides. Another zapped weeds with lasers. Yet another deployed robotic arms to cultivate and pick through the foliage.

The massive machine uses deep-learning AI models to scan fields and identify weeds in real time before vaporizing them with more than 30 high-powered lasers, all while protecting the crop. The company says it reduces farming costs, increases yields and improves soil health while avoiding the need for chemical herbicides.

“This is the future,” Mahoney said as the LaserWeeder moved through the lettuce, leaving small wisps of smoke in its wake.

Cold War: FBI Ran Operation That Sold Sabotaged Electronics to Soviets

August 4th, 2024

Was the purpose of the operation described below actually meant to thwart the Soviet Union?

It was probably the opposite.

Even if some of the equipment didn’t work properly, much could still be gleaned from having it in hand.

The USSR was a disaster and would have collapsed decades earlier if it wasn’t for assistance from Western countries.

“We were in a position to guarantee that the technology, even though it would be illegal to export, it could safely find its way to the end user in Eastern Europe, whether it was East German or Bulgarian — you never knew exactly who’s loading dock was going to end up on,” recalled Ed Appel, a former senior FBI official. Appel helped run Intering from Washington, where he then oversaw Bulgarian and East German operations for the bureau.
