The “It’s easy to do {{felony}} . . . In Minecraft” is an 8chan idiom to suggest the author had plausible deniability in making the statement. I don’t think it’s taken as a true legal defense as much as a running joke.
Given the content of the manifesto, I would say the author is an 8chan user or at least fluent in that subculture. Of course, anyone can write a pastebin manifesto and attribute it to somebody.

Does anyone understand the references to Minecraft in the John T. Earnest’s manifesto? Does he think he’s playing a video game? Does he think he’s inside a video game? Is Minecraft some sort of codeword in this context?
It is so easy to log on to Minecraft and get away with burning a synagogue (or mosque) to the ground if you’re smart about it. You can even shoot up a mosque, synagogue, immigration center, traitorous politicians, wealthy Jews in gated communities, Jewish-owned company buildings, etc. and get away with it as well. If your goal is strictly carnage and the highest score—I’d highly recommend you look into flamethrowers…
Don’t leave DNA (use clothes you’ve never worn before and a mask—dispose of these after). Don’t bring any electronics which can be used to track you. Don’t leave a paper trail. Don’t take too long doing it, and never speak of it (all electronics are bugged). Again, I’m talking about Minecraft.

They’re buying mobile-phone data that can track where and for how long people shop, eat, see movies — and where they go before and after. It allows them to determine personal details that paint a picture of who consumers are. That helps them decide what kinds of shops to open and how to advertise.
The information is transforming the business. And it’s raising privacy concerns.
The idea of being tracked by businesses makes some people uneasy. Every company interviewed for this story said it chooses not to use information that could identify individuals. But for the most part they’re on an honor system because rules governing data remain relatively lax.
Border Patrol Releasing Thousands of Illegal Immigrants in Tucson

Border Patrol officials have begun releasing migrant families in Tucson because they lack the space to detain them and immigration officials are unable to take them into custody.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the agency that normally takes custody of asylum-seeking families once they have been processed, has continued releasing families in Tucson.
That includes migrants apprehended in the Tucson sector as well as migrants who crossed through the Yuma area. Pima County officials estimate that ICE has released about 7,000 migrants in Tucson in the past eight months.
On top of that, Border Patrol officials in El Paso have been busing hundreds of migrants each day to Tucson so they can be released there instead of El Paso, which has also been struggling greatly with the sheer number of migrant families.
As a result, when ICE is unable to take migrants into custody, Border Patrol has begun releasing families directly in Tucson. Border Patrol works with nonprofits to find space to house the migrants, but it doesn’t always work out.
“If they are at capacity, that’s when the decision is made to release people out into the community, and that’s traditionally been done … at local transportation hubs,” Bidegain said.

Similarly, both Obama and Clinton used the same language in tweets regarding the murder of 360 (and climbing), “Easter worshippers” in Sri Lanka. Not a mention of Christians or churches. This in contrast to their reaction to Christchurch where both used Muslims and mosques in their commentary. Thus assisting the case presented by David Horowitz in a new book Dark Agenda, the war to destroy Christian America.
Italian academic Augusto Del Noce argues “the prevailing orthodoxy dominating the West is one of secular humanism inspired by Neo-Marxism, critical theory and scientific rationalism”.
Don’t, by the way, confuse critical theory with critical thinking. Regretfully Neo-Marxism and critical theory are making headway in Australasia, and especially in the USA, Britain and Canada.

Inside one of Walmart’s busiest Neighborhood Market grocery stores, high resolution cameras suspended from the ceiling point to a table of bananas. They can tell how ripe the bananas are from their colour.
When a banana starts to bruise, the cameras send an alert to a worker. Normally, that task would rely on the subjective assessment of a human who probably doesn’t have time to inspect every piece of fruit.
The thousands of cameras are a key feature of Walmart’s Intelligent Retail Lab, which officially opens inside this 50,000-square-foot store on Thursday. It’s the retail giant’s biggest attempt so far to digitize the physical store.
Walmart envisions using the cameras, combined with other technology like sensors on shelves, to monitor the store in real time so its workers can quickly react to replenish products or fix other problems. The technology, shown first to The Associated Press, will also be able to track when shelves need to be restocked or if shopping carts are running low. It can spot spills and even detect when more cash registers need to be opened before long lines start forming.
