Ukrainian Reconstruction Bank Set Up by BlackRock and JPMorgan Chase

January 31st, 2024

Via: Covert Action Magazine:

A key purpose underlying the Ukraine War was made clear at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos in January when Philipp Hildebrand, vice chairman of BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, announced the start of a much-touted Ukrainian Reconstruction Bank in five to six months.

The Reconstruction Bank is being put together by BlackRock and JPMorgan Chase for the Ukrainian government.

Many of its initiatives will be overseen by Penny Pritzker, a banking heiress from a family with CIA and Mafia connections and a history of white-collar crime, who was appointed by the Biden administration as a special envoy for Ukrainian reconstruction.

Nearly 8,000 Americans Received Injection that Can Cause Alzheimer’s

January 31st, 2024

Via: Daily Mail:

An NIH panel is set to convene an urgent meeting amid fears thousands of Americans may have been put at risk of ‘catching’ Alzheimer’s.

A bombshell UK study published Monday found evidence of at least five people ‘caught’ the memory-robbing disorder from a now-banned hormone treatment.

The growth hormones – harvested from the bodies of dead people – were riddled with toxic amyloid-beta protein ‘seeds’, or prions, which were shown to cause early-onset dementia.

Health experts in the US — where nearly 8,000 children were injected with the therapy between the 1960s and 1980s — now fear cases may have gone undetected on this side of the Atlantic.

The shots were administered to abnormally short children as young as four between 1959 and 1985.

They contained human growth hormone (HGH) that had been harvested from the pituitary glands of cadavers to help spur their growth.

The technique was then banned and doctors instead used synthetic hormones after it emerged that some batches were contaminated with prions that led to a fatal and incurable brain disorder called Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD). CJD itself is closely related to ‘mad cow’ disease.

Academics now believe other medical and surgical procedures might carry a risk of spreading Alzheimer’s as prions — which accumulate in the brain and kill neurons —can survive hospital sterilization methods.

As prions accumulate in the brain, the plaque deposits may appear in the brain. Abnormal build-ups of proteins in and around neurons is thought to be what causes Alzheimer’s.

Philips CPAP Machines “Can Spew Carcinogenic Foam”

January 31st, 2024

Via: Daily Mail:

Medical device manufacturer Philips will halt all sales of its sleep apnea machines amid fears about the devices’ links to cancer.

In 2021, the company’s CPAP machines, used to treat the sleeping disorder, were found to be blowing gas and foam into users’ airways as they slept, putting them at increased risk of tumors.

The discovery led to the company recalling more than 5million machines, but attempts to repair and replace affected machines has been dragging on for years.

Now, the FDA and Justice Department have forced Philips to halt all new sales until they address the problem with the old devices.

Elon Musk Reveals First Neuralink Implant in Human

January 30th, 2024

Via: Daily Mail:

Elon Musk has revealed a patient has become the first human to have a Neuralink microchip implanted into their brain.

The billionaire said on Monday night his startup Neuralink had successfully performed a craniectomy to attach the device in the unnamed person on Sunday.

He announced the product – called ‘Telepathy’ – and he hopes it will allow users with disabilities like Stephen Hawking to ‘communicate faster than an auctioneer’.

Musk said it will ‘enable control of your phone or computer, and through them almost any device, just by thinking’.

It comes less than a year after Neuralink got Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance to operate on humans, a critical milestone for the startup.

Attack on U.S. Soldiers in Jordan: White House Says “Significant Military Response Coming”

January 29th, 2024

And Now… U.S. Failed to Stop Drone Attack Because of Identification Mixup:

The U.S. failed to stop a deadly attack on an American military outpost in Jordan because the enemy drone approached its target at the same time a U.S. drone was also returning to base, U.S. officials said Monday.

The return of the U.S. drone led to some confusion over whether the incoming drone was friend or foe, officials have concluded so far.

The enemy drone was launched from Iraq by a militia backed by Tehran, U.S. officials said. The outpost, Tower 22, sits in Jordan, near the borders of Iraq and Syria.

An American defense official said on Monday that the U.S. has yet to find evidence thus far that Iran directed the attack, which killed three U.S. troops and wounded dozens of others.

The attack signaled an escalation in hostilities that have been growing since the Oct. 7 Hamas assault on Israel and the ensuing war in Gaza. President Biden said the U.S. would respond.

Iran has vehemently denied that it was behind the weekend drone attack on a Jordanian base near the Syrian border which killed three American troops, and according to a revised figure injured 34. A one-way drone reportedly slammed into a tent which was housing soldiers at the base, which is why casualties are so high, but questions remain.

Tehran has called the accusations that it was behind the attack “baseless” after President Biden on Sunday vowed “We shall respond”. Within the hours after news of the attack on Jordan’s Tower 22 base there were widespread reports that Iranian allied groups in Iraq and Syria were temporarily evacuating their bases, expending retaliatory airstrikes.

Iranian allies are now bracing for a major US response to the deadly attack on the Jordanian outpost, according to the Wall Street Journal. Already there’s been an apparent Israeli airstrike on a Damascus suburb, resulting in the deaths of two people, said to be targeting an “Iranian-backed group”.

Navy Again Lowers Requirements As It Struggles To Meet Recruitment Goals

January 28th, 2024

Via: New York Post:

The US Navy is starting to enlist individuals who didn’t graduate from high school or get a GED, marking the second time in about a year that the service has opened the door to lower-performing recruits as it struggles to meet enlistment goals.

The decision follows a move in December 2022 to bring in a larger number of recruits who score very low on the Armed Services Qualification Test.

Both are fairly rare steps that the other military services largely avoid or limit, even though they are all finding it increasingly difficult to attract the dwindling number of young people who can meet the military’s physical, mental and moral standards.

Under the new plan, Navy recruits without an education credential will be able to join as long as they score 50 or above on the qualification test, which is out of 99.

The last time the service took individuals without education credentials was in 2000.
