The Real National Emergency: Endless Wars, Failing Infrastructure, and a Dying Republic

June 21st, 2025

Via: The Rutherford Institute:

Seventy years after President Dwight D. Eisenhower warned about the cost of a military-industrial complex, America is still stealing from its own people to fund a global empire.

In 2025 alone, the U.S. has launched airstrikes in Yemen (Operation Rough Rider), bombed Houthi-controlled ports and radar installations (killing scores of civilians), deployed greater numbers of troops and multiple aircraft carriers to the Middle East, and edged closer to direct war with Iran in support of Israel’s escalating conflict.

Each of these “new” fronts has been sold to the public as national defense. In truth, they are the latest outposts in a decades-long campaign of empire maintenance—one that lines the pockets of defense contractors while schools crumble, bridges collapse, and veterans sleep on the streets at home.

This isn’t about national defense. This is empire maintenance.

It’s about preserving a military-industrial complex that profits from endless war, global policing, and foreign occupations—while the nation’s infrastructure rots and its people are neglected.

The United States has spent much of the past half-century policing the globe, occupying other countries, and waging endless wars.

What most Americans fail to recognize is that these ongoing wars have little to do with keeping the country safe and everything to do with propping up a military-industrial complex that has its sights set on world domination.

War has become a huge money-making venture, and the U.S. government, with its vast military empire, is one of its best buyers and sellers.

As the Israel–Iran conflict enters Day 9, President Trump has publicly stated he will wait two weeks before deciding whether to authorize U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear infrastructure. In parallel, U.S. Air Force B-2 Spirit stealth bombers are being repositioned to forward operating bases in the Indo-Pacific—possibly Andersen Air Force Base in Guam or Diego Garcia in the Chagos Archipelago—indicating a deliberate show of force and strategic signaling of U.S. readiness for multi-theater operations.

Fox News confirmed six B-2 stealth bombers have taken off from Whiteman AFB in Missouri and are likely to be staged at Andersen AFB in Guam.

Czech Republic: Higher Mortality in People Who Received Covid Shots

Via: Steve Kirsch:

During COVID, the unvaccinated die at a lower rate than the vaccinated. That is not a typo. The unvaccinated did better. It’s unambiguous.

After COVID is over and the booster shots are given to the vaccinated, the mortality of the vaccinated increases relative to the unvaccinated.

Texas Instruments Will Invest Over $60 Billion to Manufacture Foundational Semiconductors in the U.S.

June 19th, 2025

You won’t read this in the press release, but my guess is that plans for the upcoming battalions, fleets and swarms of terminator robots call for Made in USA silicon.

Via: Texas Instruments Press Release:

Texas Instruments (TI) (Nasdaq: TXN) today announced its plans to invest more than $60 billion across seven U.S. semiconductor fabs, making this the largest investment in foundational semiconductor manufacturing in U.S. history. Working with the Trump administration and building on the company’s nearly 100-year legacy, TI is expanding its U.S. manufacturing capacity to supply the growing need for semiconductors that will advance critical innovations from vehicles to smartphones to data centers. Combined, TI’s new manufacturing mega-sites in Texas and Utah will support more than 60,000 U.S. jobs.

“TI is building dependable, low-cost 300mm capacity at scale to deliver the analog and embedded processing chips that are vital for nearly every type of electronic system,” said Haviv Ilan, president and CEO of Texas Instruments. “Leading U.S. companies such as Apple, Ford, Medtronic, NVIDIA and SpaceX rely on TI’s world-class technology and manufacturing expertise, and we are honored to work alongside them and the U.S. government to unleash what’s next in American innovation.”

Via: Metro:

A US Air Force E-4B aircraft landed near Washington, DC, heightening speculation as President Donald Trump weighs joining the war between Iran and Israel.

The ‘Nightwatch’ aircraft nicknamed the presidential ‘Doomsday Plane’ touched down at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland on Tuesday night.

It departed from Barksdale Air Force Base in Shreveport, Louisiana, and took a very unusual flight path to arrive close to DC, i24NEWS reported.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Metro on the Boeing E-4B’s mission, if it was related to the Iran-Israel conflict and whether Trump was on board.

What Does It Mean When Jobs Are Being “Enhanced” by AI? Expect Layoffs

June 17th, 2025

Enhanced by AI! *wink* *snort*

Via: USA Today:

Rollout of generative AI and agents will reduce Amazon’s total corporate workforce in the next few years, Andy Jassy, CEO of the online retailer said in a note to employees on Tuesday.

“As we roll out more Generative AI and agents, it should change the way our work is done. We will need fewer people doing some of the jobs that are being done today, and more people doing other types of jobs,” Jassy said.

“Amazon is communicating a message we have been increasingly hearing from other technology companies – AI is progressing so fast in improving productivity that the need for hiring will diminish over time,” said D.A. Davidson analyst Gil Luria.

“The main roles being enhanced right now are in software development, and that is where we are seeing the most pronounced slowdown in hiring.”

Iran, Iran, Iran.

Meanwhile…

Via: Al Jazeera:

Israeli troops have killed at least 70 Palestinians and wounded hundreds as they sought aid in Gaza on Tuesday, firing at them with tank shells, machine guns and drones. Those casualties are among the 89 Palestinians killed in attacks across the besieged enclave since dawn.

Israeli soldiers fired at the desperate crowds of aid seekers on Tuesday morning as they gathered along the main eastern road in the southern city of Khan Younis. It was the latest in a sustained wave of carnage since the Israel- and United States-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) launched operations to distribute food in the territory three weeks ago.

Trump Indicates U.S. Involved in Israeli Attacks on Iran

June 17th, 2025

No false flag operation. No absurd yellow-cake-type fabrications.

Not necessary.

Jeff sums it up:

Today Washington doesn’t need to justify anything. Everyone already knows it’s criminally insane and capable of anything.

Via: USA Today:

President Donald Trump appeared to indicate that the United States has been involved in the Israeli attack on Iran in June 17 social media posts where he said “we” have control of the skies and “American made, conceived, and manufactured “stuff”” defeated Iranian defensive equipment.

“We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran. Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American made, conceived, and manufactured “stuff.” Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA,” Trump said in a Truth Social post.

In a second post Trump said, “We know exactly where the so-called “Supreme Leader” is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there – We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
